Fourth Grade

Hello!

I am the fourth grade teacher at Oakland CUSD #5. I was born and raised in Oakland! I graduated from OHS in 2003.

I earned my dual certification bachelors degree in Special Education and Elementary Education at Eastern Illinois University in 2008. That summer I married Mr. Tillis and started teaching at Villa Grove. In 2011 we had our first son, Elliot and in 2015 we had Eli. After enjoying a couple years off with my children, I accepted a full time position at Oakland for the 2017-2018 school year. I love being just a few blocks from school and bringing my children with me each day! 

 If you want to talk to me on the phone the best times to reach me are during 6th hour, in the morning before school starts, or at the end of the school day.
